Hello everybody,
my first attempt using this tool was quite successful (version Rayman Pro 3.1 Beta), even though I encountered a few problems:
I am trying to model buildings (=obstacles) with different roof types (e.g. gable roofs, gambrel roofs etc.). As Rayman Pro considers every obstacle consisting of four corner (=roof) points, which may have individual z-values, I modeled each roof side with 3D-Polygons (four corner points with the corresponding heights of rigde and eaves). However, the conversion tool offers only the possibility to select one field with a "height". With different z-values, this attribute remains blank and converting causes an error. To create a roof pitch, I would have to model flat roofs with an overall z-value first (for conversion) and then edit each obstacle manually in Rayman Pro.
Furthermore, each of my 4-point-polygons are converted into two triangle-shaped polygons with 3 three correct corner points and one point in the geometric center of the polygon, which I would also have to edit manually.
Is this due to program / plugin limitations or intended and is there an easy solution?
Thanks in advance,
regards
Clemens
