Can someone please explain to me on how to develop obstacle and topography data for Rayman? What is to be considered? What do I need. Help help help please.
RayMan can either use an obstacles or a terrain file. Which to use is dependent on your study. Do you have buildings and trees close to your point of interest? In that case I'd use an obstacles file.
If you got spatial input data already, e.g. a polygon shapefile holding buildings, you can convert those automatically using the shp_to_obs tool in QGIS.
All possibilities are described in the manual. Please take a look there for a start.
I am now at the point of topography txt file. I downloaded the topography map JPG format and converted to TIFF using GDAL. I then used GeoReference GDAL in QGIS to obtain the Ground Control Point (GCP).
1)How do i get the X and Y coordinates?? 2) how do i contruct the columns or rows before importing the topography txt file in Rayman??
sorry, I don't get what you did. However, for you are dealing with projected spatial data I'd strongly recommend to take a look at the SkyHelios model.
