Dear Admin I created an Obstacle file (.obs) by RayManEditor on SkyHelios, but I can not import it into RayMan 1.2. The RayMan can not know the file as "Valid numeric input" file.
first of all, the RayManEditor included SkyHelios is desined to do minor modifications in your existing .obs files you are using in SkyHelios, not to create RayMan input files, but it could work anyway. Can you check the .obs file in the text editor? It needs to look similar to this:
- This problem occurs when opening the .Obs file that is created in or edited by "RayManEditor".
- I read it with "Input" --> "Obstacles" --> "File" --> "Open". but when I click on "Open" after selecting the desired file, the below error is shown. "ungültige numerische eingabe"
- When I check the file in a text editor, it is similar to what you put in your posts.
The file could be load in SkyHelios before and after edition by RayManEditor . and the location of the file is accessible to both RayMan and SkyHelios. Indeed, this file is loaded by RayMan before editing by RayManEditor, and the problem appears after editing.
- first of all: please do not ever use blancs (spaces) in filenames! Windows will tolerate them, but they might lead to problems. - secondly: please try to delete the first row (the one that reads "# RayMan obstacle file #"). Delete the whole row, so the file starts with the next row (do not leave a blanc row). Save and retry and you should be fine.
well? this puzzles me somehow, as the files are perfectly the same except for the headline (at least the ones you sent me). If you remove the headline, both files are identical??! Are you absolutely sure you
Are you absolutely sure, you did not leave a empty row (or a blanc) at the beginning of the file? Did you save the changes?
I delete the first row of the second file (without any blank), and save changes. Other content of both file is similar. but in this way, when I load this file the program is stopped working.
Could you please try closing RayMan, reopen it and then directly load the second file? I suspect this also to happen if you try to read the first file twice without closing RayMan in between? Better always close and re-open RayMan if you want to do new stuff. Some variables are not cleared properly in RayMan 1.2. This is a known issue. Sorry for that!
Dear Dominik I find the cause of problem. when saving by RayManEditor two excess columns are added to the end of the rows. the problem could solve simply by removing them from the end of rows. I send the screen-film of that to your mail.
