this is somehow strange. There might always be incompatible systems, sure. But two of them at the same time? That makes me suspect there is something systematic. Some sort of a parallel. Like some program installed on both systems, some locale settings??
You don't by any chance have virtualbox (or any other VM server) with a blanc VM with nothing but the OS installed in it to try?
I have tried on the third computer (Windows 10), also nothing.
Sometimes (on different computers), when I open RayMan I get warning "Datei nich gefunden", but after OK RayMan is ready to work. If I understand it is issue of current session file or some location library.
I don't have virtualbox on my computer and I can't use it...
Do you have idea how can you help me? Maybe you can give me some hints how should I describe the problem to my department computer-guy, maybe he can help me?
ok, so there is most probably something set improperly. Unfortunately this is hard to tell from the distance. You could try to send me your currentsession.ini file, your locations.lst and a screenshot of any menu and window. Maybe I'll be able to detect something.
EDIT: The error message is due to a missing locations.lst. That file must stay in the same folder as the RayMan.exe.
glad it worked! However, I'm afraid, I don't really get why using cloud cover instead of global radiation would make any difference. In Contrary, the calculations for global radiation based on cloud cover are more complex and, thus, more error prone?
