hello I have a question about rayman pro.I want to run Rayman for 350 station and calculation PET and PMV. but I don't have topography, sky view factor and obstacles.I just have Meteorological data.
Can I use meteorological data only to calculate indices?
I have to calculate indexs right a way but I do not know what to do. please help me
what kind of meteorological data do you have? What parameters? In what temporal resolution?
If you want to calculate thermal indices without SVF, you are going to need (besides the stations approximate geographical location) the parameters air temperature, relative humidity or vapour pressure, wind speed and global radiation in at least 3 hourly (or better) temporal resolution.
thermal indices should always be calculated with the highest temporal resolution available (up to 10 mins).
Hmm, you are going to need some kind of radiation input. RayMan can approximate short and longwave irradiation if you have a fisheye image However, you will need either some information about the surroundings or the global radiation (containing the effect of that information).
If you are calculating for some rooftop level without any obstructions you could enter a virtual cloud cover column, that is always 0 and run with a SVF of 1. But please keep in mind that this will result in a rather coarse approximation!
in the Rayman manual Write: RayMan requires the input parameters air temperature ,air humidity and wind speed. Mean radiant temperature can be calculated based on global radiation or cloud coverage.
so can i use the cloud coverage instead global radiation??
yes, in general, you can. RayMan will approximated global radiation based on astronomic equations, your location setting (including lat / lon and altitude), the date and time, as well as cloud cover in this case. However, (as RayMan does not know nothing about the surrounding) the results will be representative for some undisturbed location without any horizon limitation.
I have to sort out the comfort zone for walking people with metabolism rate of 115W/m² by using Rayman, I want to know if the calculation of PET tack in account the level of activity as input data or not, because I read that PET is index independent of individual parameters.
